The Fleurieu NRM Group is one of three groups established within the Adelaide and Mount Lofty Ranges region. The group forms a vital link to the Board, providing a local perspective on all relevant local issues.
Group members are local residents and landholders who are appointed for a term of either two or three years. They have skills and experience in NRM management issues such as primary production, soil conservation, local government, animal and plant control, salinity, indigenous culture, biodiversity or the management of water resources.

What do we do?
The Group meets regularly with Board staff and will seek to actively involve the community in order to:
- provide advice to the Board on local environmental issues, including assisting land managers in the management of soil, water and pest animals and plants
- promote public awareness and support educational initiatives
- participate in local NRM programs
- develop relationships with local councils, environmental and industry bodies, community groups and other government agencies, and
- contribute to the ongoing review of the regional NRM plan;

- implementation and review of the NRM Plan
- water quality and conservation
- pest plant and animal control
- biodiversity enhancement and protection
- native vegetation management

- protection of coast and marine areas
- how to involve the community
- fostering volunteering for NRM activities

- Aboriginal participation in NRM
- grant and partnership funding availability and guidelines
