Expertise: property planning reports; provision of technical land management advice; pasture management; identification and control of weeds; measuring soil and water salinity; groundwater management; organising and facilitating land management events; conducting presentations at community events.   

Claire Stephenson

Responsibilities: Responsibilities: conducting landholder surveys; assisting with farmbis funding applications; publication of monthly events program; team building activities; identifying community needs with respect to land management activities; organising and facilitating community events to address sustainable land management issues; conducting property visits.

Expertise: property planning; provision of technical land management advice; identification and control of weeds; measuring water salinity; organising land management events; conducting presentations at community events; trained facilitator for NRM workshops.

Melanie Bullers

Land Management Adviser , Mt Pleasant

Responsibilities: Melanie is filling in for Claire Stephenson while she is on maternity leave.  Melanie will be conducting landholder surveys; assisting with farmbis funding applications; publication of monthly events program; team building activities; identifying community needs with respect to land management activities; organising and facilitating community events to address sustainable land management issues; conducting property visits.

Expertise: Melanie has been working with NASAA as a property inspector and certification officer. She is very well qualified in the area of natural resources management, has years of experience helping landholders in the hills.  

Catherine Austin

Responsibilities:  publication of Small Talk Newsletter; Identifying community needs with respect to land management activities; organising and facilitating community events to address sustainable land management issues; conducting property visits.

Expertise: trained in the fields of Environmental and Natural Resources Management, Catherine’s relevant expertise cover such areas as: integrated weed management; native vegetation management; measuring and evaluating water salinity; soil sampling and testing; watercourse management; and organising and facilitating land management events such as courses and workshops.
