This Draft Strategy was prepared by the Adelaide and Mount Lofty Ranges Natural Resources Management Board in conjunction with the development of the Regional Natural Resources Management (NRM) Plan for the Adelaide and Mount Lofty Ranges region.
Valuable comments were received on the draft pest management strategy. To achieve the best outcomes pest management is not conducted in isolation of the other works of the Board. Therefore the strategies and actions have been modified in response to comments received and have been integrated into the first regional plan. So all important integration with land and biodiversity management occurs via the plan. Thus the good work contained in the draft strategy continues to be a high priority, guide future investment in pest management and merge pest management practices into the broader programs of the Board to achieve integrated NRM outcomes.
The Boards Plan addresses terrestrial and marine pests and weeds, as the Board has responsibility for the management of natural resources of part of Gulf St Vincent, the Adelaide coastal plains and the adjacent Mount Lofty Ranges.
Please keep a watch out for the Draft Board Plan and make comment on it when it is released.
