The board sets targets as means to indicate progress in the region as well as to implement the Natural Resources Management Plan.
Regional Targets – these are long-term targets strategically set for the region to reach within 20 years.
Intermediate Targets, or iTargets – these detail actions and investment over 5 years to help the board progressively meet its Regional Targets.
For more information on targets please see the board’s investment plan.
The documents below report the board’s progress towards achieving its goals.
The Natural Resources Management Act 2004 requires the board to prepare an annual report describing its achievement towards implementation of its Regional NRM Plan.
These report cards give a brief overview of the condition of the prescribed water resource (surface and/or groundwater) in each water allocation plan area, including some trend analysis.
Regional report cards give a snapshot report on progress towards achieving Regional Targets. Not all targets are reported on annually because for some, change cannot be measured in the short term (i.e. yearly).
The board publishes an achievement report annually to highlight what our focused efforts have achieved.
